What it sounds like
Who’s it for?
Sound healing is for anyone seeking relaxation, emotional balance, or improved well-being. It can benefit people dealing with:
Stress, anxiety, and depression: Sound healing promotes relaxation and emotional clarity.
Sleep issues: The calming effects can improve sleep quality.
Cognitive function: It helps enhance focus, concentration, and mental clarity.
Chronic pain: The vibrations may help alleviate physical tension and discomfort.
Energy healing or meditation: Sound healing is often used to deepen meditation or balance energy.
It’s suitable for people of all ages, individuals recovering from trauma, and those looking for a holistic approach to wellness. Even those who are deaf can benefit from the physical vibrations of the therapy.
Sound healing for elder Communities
There is growing awareness around the benefits of sound healing for older adults. Its restorative qualities make it a wonderful option to alleviate common challenges in elder care communities:
Improve mental health: Sound healing is a gentle, non-invasive, and enjoyable means of relaxing the mind while relieving stress, addressing anxiety and depression, and improving cognitive function.
Mitigating staff burnout: It offers a healing space for staff to relax, de-stress, and rejuvenate - reducing burnout and turnover.
Accessibility: Sound healing is available to everyone regardless of hearing ability, mobility, ethnic or cultural background.
Community connection: Group sound healings are an enriching way to build meaningful connection among participants while improving individual well-being. Since they promote a shared space of wellbeing and peace, they are a nourishing activity for bonding family caregivers with their aging family members.
How does it work?
Sound healing uses specific sounds and vibrations to help the body and mind relax, clear out tension, and restore balance. Vibrational tools, such as soothing tones and binaural beats, help shift brainwaves to calmer states, reducing stress and promoting relaxation. In this place of receptive rest, the body is able to rejuvenate towards its natural state of health.
The vibrations also resonate the body's cells (70% water) and energy, helping to release tension, improve mood, and enhance mental clarity.
Adriana uses quartz crystal singing bowls, voice, and percussion instruments to entrain the body and mind into harmony. In Sound Journey sessions, recipients are guided in a grounding meditation before lying down in deep relaxation to receive the sounds. Adriana offers Sound Journeys for private groups, 1:1 private sessions, and community programming.
